Moon Hockey Aramark Fundraiser

Again this year Moon Area Hockey has set up a fundraising opportunity through Aramark. You can help offset your personal hockey fees for the 2012-13 season by working concerts at First Niagara Pavilion. If you are interested in participating in this fundraiser, please contact Sharon Brooks at sharonbrooks@moonhockey.org.

The following training is required thru Aramark; TEAM Training, Be the Difference and ServSafe. Evening classes will be offered during April at First Niagara Pavilion.

Dear Moon Area Hockey Member,

Attached are the forms for the 2011-2012 Program Ad Book for the Moon Area Hockey Association.  Please make copies and use them to solicit advertisements for the Program from local area merchants.  The seller (you or your child) will receive 80% of the funds you collect for each ad.  This money will be applied directly to YOUR hockey bill!!!!  For example, if you sell a full page ad for $100.00, $80.00 will be credited to your account.

You are also encouraged to create your own personal ad for your player – you can ask grandparents, aunts and uncles ……to add to your page, or create their own.   If you create a page for your player, you get 80% of the selling price, so if you create a half page ad, which costs $60.00, you only pay $12.00 for your ad.  Most kids love to see themselves in print!!!

Please feel free to go to any local merchants to solicit ads.  The places you frequent often are great sources for ads, your dentist, doctor, favorite pizza shop, bank, insurance company, car dealership, accounting and tax offices, hair and nail salons.  Remember, other Moon hockey players will be out soliciting ads in the same area, so please note that all ads are on a first come first serve basis.  Location pages are sold according to availability. Please contact the ad committee before you promise a merchant a location page.  (back cover, inside front cover etc.)

PLEASE  NOTE----- If you obtained an ad last year from a merchant, the committee feels that you should have the first crack at getting that same ad for this year’s book.  If you would like to obtain the same ad as last year, please get that ad within the first two weeks of the September.  At the end of the first 2 weeks, those businesses are open to all players.

We are looking to distribute books at the first home varsity game. We are giving players and families a month to sell ads. The official start date to sell ads is Thursday, September 1^st.  All ads are due Sunday, Oct 2^nd.  

PS ---If you are creating your own personal ad for your player, you don’t have to wait till this year’s photos are taken, we can insert the photo when the MAHA team pics are in.
